Accepting Credit Cards
What are you looking for?
If your business is in need of accepting credit cards, make
sure that you have done your research. Different venders will
charge dramatically different rates.
It is important to first determine your volume of credit card
transactions. Will you process one or two transactions a week,
or are you expecting twenty a day? A low transaction volume
means that you may need to pay a higher percentage in exchange
for a lower upfront monthly fee.
Also, you will want to evaluate the average charge that will
be made on each transaction. A large number of small
transactions would necessitate an arrangement with a lower per
transaction charge.
Accepting credit cards should help you expand your business
and increase both revenues and profits. Evaluate the terms from
several offers and make sure that you choose the best plan for
your current needs and for the near future. If your business
expands substantially, you should also reevaluate your needs to
see if another plan is more cost effective for your business. |
